Update on my 4K 60FPS vs 4K 30FPS issues with iMovie and Final Cut Pro X:
With either iMovie of FCPX, trying to edit 4K 60FPS video is almost impossible, even with a high powered Mac which I have, its not a Powermac but it’s a high end iMac fully loaded. Still when i try to add transitions etc.. it just hangs up, very frustrating…
Today i went out and shot some 4K video in 30FPS, got home, opened FCPX and same exact behaviour, did the regular P4 shoot in 30FPS 4K? I never had problems editing that, now im really confused. My clients want the videos delivered in 4K, so doing this in 1080p wont work.
Thoughts anyone, is there another 4K mode to try?
