FAA regulation question

I need a USA FAA rule expert to help me with a question. Say my local “mountain” is 1,061ft tall. I wanna get some footage of the top, all authorities say it’s cool to fly from parking lot to the top as long as i hug the sides and dont go outside the park boundaries, even local towers and faa field offices say they “think it’s ok but I’ll ask my supervisor and let you know” I have their names and such but would it be legal or just better to climb up it and film FROM the top but out of sight like under a tree so I’m not in the video?

If you were told by authorities that you can fly from the parking lot, then you can fly from the parking lot. You should not even consider trying to climb to film from another location.
